Week 2 Blog Post

 During high school I would get really stressed out with homework, tests, and making time to study around the times I would be at practice or in a tournament.  Growing up I've always had a hard time focusing as well as bad anxiety, so taking time to do school work was really hard for me.  Music has always been my go to release, no matter what I could turn on music to help me figure things out by listening to the lyrics, almost like it could describe exactly what I was feeling when I didn't know that myself.  Lately it's been hard to find motivation in normal day to day activities, I know I need to do them but I can't bring myself too. Music can help in so many different ways.  When I'm stressed I like to listen to music without any lyrics, just a calm melody.  You can feel the base within the beats of your heart, the calming notes flow through your head like a relaxing stream.  Not a lot of people like listening to something if there are no words to un...

 Hey! My name is Maleah Johnson, and a little about me is that I actually have a prosthetic leg, and I love to play and/or watch sports.  Hanging out with my friends and family is a nice way to pass the time, or even just sitting down and reading a book, and watching TV series. My favorite genre of music is rap and R&B, but my favorite time period for these genres is the 90's, the music is just amazing in this time period.  The energy that is brought out of the songs is just indescribable, it makes you think deeper than the lyrics suggest, or that the melody brings to the rhythm. My all time favorite artist would have to be the rapper, Eminem, for so many different reasons.  One reason is that growing up he was one of the main artists my dad would play around the house, in the car, or at practice.  Eminem has been through a lot in his life, and it started when he was relatively at a young age, but it didn't get much easier as he aged.  When people think...
